The low winter light shines on the westbound auto train heading through and between the tunnels at Yuba Pass as storm clouds start to form.

What is this!!! Amtrak is stopped for an auto train! Well luckily for me that is how things worked out. Notice the glare of the yellow winged nose on the side of the Amtrak lead unit?

My shot of the weekend, UP 5728 and 7527 along with a leased SD40-2 wind their autorack train out of Tunnel 35 and down the single track grade at Yuba Pass.
