Leading up the westbound R916 today is IC 6007, complete with Operation Lifesaver logos

Pulling into the south end of Northtown to pickup the outbound train with an interesting set of units today.

The show is over as the 261 steams north and it is back to work for the CN crew...

The CN crew takes a moment to watch the 261 steam on by - the BNSF track gang just down the way in the yard also paused to watch the train pass...

Railfans are all awaiting the arrival of the 261 while the WC transfer works the south end of Northtown. Needless to say these guys were virtually ignored in the anticipation of the steam train..... (more)

The transfer, back on the main, is heading for Northtown.

Ed Patten, after hiring on at the CB&Q in 66',going to the Rock Island till shutdown,the CNW,the WC, and the CN, now finds himself at his last time at the throttle.

A consist looking somewhat like that of years ago, rolls to their cars on the North runner.

WC 6005 of Algoma Central heritage is one of the rare group of WC 6 axles that will see more life on the CN system. The SD45s definately have had there day, sadly.

The 6005 heads out of the yard as WC conductor Jason Brundin looks for any dragging equipment.

The 6916 barrels out of New Brighton with Ed Patten, old Rock Island engineer, in charge.

Only about 24 still active on the Canadian National, the WC 7504 leads two CSX units towards the Northtown cars at Stinson.
