FEC 101 rushes south on a beautiful warm day in Northeast Florida. For now, the SD70M-2's roll...but this time next year GEVO's will rule.

In a very "Florida" setting the 101 rolls south over the St. Sebastian River.

FEC 101 rounds the curve into Bunnell. The big M's have a bit of a reprieve as they will hold on until the GEVO's get here at years end. Get your shots folks. You can spot Dave greeting me.

FEC 101 slices through Bunnell lead by FEC 107. The 107 was sidelined for a while due to a mechanical problem but now is back on the road, at least until the GEVO's arrive at year's end.

FEC 101 on a crisp cool day. Today's 101 had 12,350 ft of train (you read that right) as the FEC gives Santa a hand before the "big day" . Big change from the 80's temp was about 63.

An exceptional opportunity to catch a northbound in PM light was given by FEC 210 being 5 hours late. Late trains on the FEC are very rare and the last time 210 was this late was in 2011.

An old riveted Fixed-Trunnion Bascule Bridge from the Flagler Era still supports the current leviathan FEC trains over the Saint Lucie River. Rough looking SD40-2 #719 is in queue to be repainted... (more)

FEC Train 101 heads south with a pair of SD70M-2's

Racing north through Rockledge, FEC 107 and FEC 102 are finally seeing the sun begin to set after being dowsed by a typical Florida thunderstorm.

Exactly at 2:50 pm as the horrors began to unfold in my hometown of Boston I captured 101 in Bunnell. The 3rd motor is 703 the 2nd motor to get the retro repaint.

A southbound freight crosses the St. Lucie River at Stuart on a warm winter evening. The nearby watering hole and ATCS Monitor make Stuart a favorite train watching town.

FEC 107 is slowly beginning to move FEC train 210 towards the north end of Micco Siding as southbound train 123, with GP-40 FEC 438 running long hood forward, races past on the main.

FEC 107 leads CITX 142 and FEC train 210 north across the Turkey Creek Bridge.

Another new view possible from the new bridge, FEC 101 winds through St. Augustine with east coast hogger at the throttle.
