SOO 6060 leads train 499 towards the Twin Cities. With only five SOO SD60M, catching one in the lead is pretty lucky.
Soo 6060 leads a trackage rights train from Detroit to Chicago slows to make the turn onto the NS Chicago line.
They put the right engine in the lead.
It isn't too often that you see a SOO SD60M leading a train, and even less to see two back to back. Here they are leading the 499 west toward Barrett.

A candy apple red SD60M leads two leased MRL units out of Galewood Yard on the joint Indiana Rail Road / Canadian Pacific coke train to Minneapolis. The MRL units are leased to INRD.
Conductors feet are up and things are settling in as 245 heads towards the work blocks on the Galt Sub. Trailing are an NREX SD40T-2 and a Soo SD60.
