A Durango & Silverton train slips through one of the many rock cuts of the San Juan Mountains one last time, as the train exits the famed "High Line" near Rockwood, Colorado.

An afternoon train coasts down the Animas River canyon after crossing the bridge just north of the Cascade Wye.

After being out of service since the 1990s, K-27 #476 is undergoing a full restoration in the Durango roundhouse.

A narrow gauge locomotive axle set sits in the massive machine shop for some work. The DSNG is a big operation and can perform most maintenance in house.

The controls of 476, as it sits in the museum section of the roundhouse, awaiting the day when it will be repaired and operational again.
