A late morning southbound manifest has just entered the canyon. The old grade from the Deschutes Railroad Company can be seen on the east bank.
Its a nice day in the gorge with a west bound on the Fallbridge.

Running eastbound past Drano Lake.
A short southbound freight is making its way up the canyon. It was already over 80 degrees at 8 o'clock in the morning and the air is like a campfire that never ends.
Northbound bare table. This train runs almost daily through the canyon in either direction.
Westbound freight is heading towards Vancouver at reduced speed.
The last bit of snow for the Columbia River Gorge. The UP ran a bunch of trains both ways this day including this westbound grain train rounding Mitchell Point.
