CN L549 runs along the banks of Goose Lake with a duo of ex Oakway SD60's. This train comes from Gladstone to Partridge Yard in Negaunee, Michigan.

After holding at Kensington for a South Shore commuter from NWI, L536 blasts through Homewood heading south for the connection at Matteson. On point is IC 1021, a 1999 built SD70.

IC 1021 brings L536 down the Mainline of Mid America as they creep out of downtown. They crawl through this section of track since they have a restriction until fully out of McCormick Place.
