Looking north showing the Brighton Ave crossing and the rear of the derailed train.
Both tracks were damaged so all train service to and from Bay Head was stopped.
Note that pile of new ties. They just didn't repair that section of track before the rail gave way.
New York bound shore train. There's a brand new MGB GT waiting at the 7th Ave crossings. Also note the S.S. Adams factory with its clock tower.
