CP Intermodal train taking a detour over CSX Chicago Div. a nice change in color
This loco was built for the US Army in 1953. served its career at the Casad Depot, produces 400 hp.
The stack train was e/b and the coil train w/b. the coil train broke a axle derailed and a stack train plowed into this mess. happend at night and the stack was not running track speed, luckily.
The train in the pic is a stack train, the coil of steel is from the other track, not good.
If you think this looks bad you should of seen the power they had before this. Johns Manville is the biggest shipper on this line.
By the looks of the pic one could not tell that this is a 2 track main. but today it looks like a farm field with rail cars and lots of MUD.
Those are some radical trucks ! Not sure of this paint job either
Standing on the pile of dirt and ballast as the lead engine burrowed its way into the row. good news is its still under warranty !
