Chasing 637 out to 41st Ave. allowed for a totally unexpected meet. As I pulled up I noticed a 487 tied down on the CK siding, with IC&E 6412 on the lead. Sure made for some great shots of 2 beaut... (more)
DM&E Train 171 passes train 487 in Goodview. A CP crew tied 487 down earlier in the afternoon and a DM&E crew showed up a short while after 171 went by. You have to love all the blue and yellow!
Detouring on the CP due to a derailment south of Guttenberg, IA, the CCHU has been tied down on DM&E tracks in Goodview waiting for a DM&E crew.
The Huron - Winona Manifest waits for a crew to take the train across the CP and into the UP yard in Winona. There they will drop off cars and put their train together for the return trip west.
