It's pretty rare to see an SD40E leading a stack train on the NS Chicago mainline. Shown here, the recently added train L15 heads west through Vermilion, OH, with a throwback leader.
4s are wild today as NS 4441 ( an AC44C6M) leads train 44M across the Vermilion River on July 4th. This is an as needed grain train that usually runs once a year or so.
