The safety yellow end on MP15DC #21 cannot be missed as it and 3 brethren lug a huge ore train south from North Bessemer.
Union Railroad MP15DC 33 is the first engine to be painted in the new red and yellow scheme. The engine is seen at the engine facility in Monroeville, PA, on September 26, 2009.
A bunch of switchers doing what they do best: hauling a loaded ore train south from North Bessemer to Braddock where it will be transformed into steel slabs at US Steel's Edgar Thomson Works.
Perhaps a sign that NS is a bit power short, 20T departs Pitcairn with a single Dash 9 up front. Two SD40-2s were added on the rear to ensure that the train doesn't stall on the grades ahead.
