Weirton Steel used a small fleet of ex-CR door-less boxcars for in-plant moves. Several wore their original PRR paint with patches over the Keystone logo.
A pair of SW1500's are serviced at the ex-Weirton Steel engine house. I love the Monopoly-looking logo on the sand tower!

The Route 2 bridge was a great place to watch Weirton's operations in 2004. Parts of the mill are still open today, but production is down and the blast furnace has been shuttered.
The old Panhandle Bridge carrying C90 blends in much more with the steel belt surroundings than the highly stylized Veterans Memorial Bridge adjacent to it.
Having just crossed the Ohio River on the Old Panhandle Bridge, NS C14 heads east toward the Weirton Running Track.
