A CSX Hump Slug Set pulls a large cut of cars from the Queensgate Yard Hump through the interlocking at Eighth Street towards Yard 2 on a beautiful and mild late summer morning in the Ohio Valley.
Under a hazy sun, CSX power congregates at the engine terminal. Unlike NS, CSX has retained the red warning lights on the nose of its ex-Conrail power.
As seen from the other side of Interstate 75, rebuilt SD40-2 No. 2416 and slug No. 1055 pull a string of cars toward the south end of the yard. Once there, they'll push the cars over the hump.
