This is only the second time that I see 2 purple locos working together, here they are leading the Johannesburg to Cape Town Tourist train past a small cemetry a few km from Wellington.

JHB - CPT Premier Classe arriving in the Cape on a sunny winters day.

The CPT - JHB Premier Classe makes it appearance from out of a shallow cut a few km outside Matjiesfontein.

Riding through the Karoo in the early morning sun, on the right is the N1 highway linking Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Smoking is not allowed on trains but it seems some passengers dont care about that rule, up front is the daily CPT - JHB Economy train about to pass us.

We have just started our journey through Tulbaghkloof from the east side on board the JHB - CPT Tourist train, in the distance on the right is the R46 betwen Tulbagh and Gouda.

Two days ago this unit was leading the train that brought me here and here it is again today leading the CPT - EL train.
