Very sad to see the Lurgan Sub. merely a shadow of its former self. AC6000's even used to use the second track as this was a double tracked, signaled line (there was a signal bridge here until las... (more)
The first time I've caught the 211 in awhile. I love those GP60's... Vardo Yard is pretty empty but things will pick up as the day progresses. These N&W telephone poles will not be around for too ... (more)
On the last day of February, 37Q moves his locals with a UP in the consist and also a DDOX load (which he would drop off to be put on 11R).
It's hard to believe that this is the only ex-WM signal still in service on CSX (is always in yellow too) and the only WM signal bridge still standing. Note the CV car in the consist. SD40-2's a... (more)
Rainbow of power leads the 203 south. There's almost always a goodie on the 203.
In the last of the sweet light a NS high and wide extra with clean CSX power heads south. This load will later be put on NS 11R and will head south. Note the marker lights (which were turned on)... (more)
A very rare sight to see foreign power on the CSX D720.
Nice to see three railroads in one shot on different tracks. The CSX power is returning to the CSX Hagerstown Yard light after dropping off 37 cars with NS.
The usual suspects on CSX in Hagerstown.
Very nice to see an EMDX leader on 37Q. This train never left the yard in daylight but fortunately I caught him in the last rays of sunlight.
203 heads out of Vardo yard with 2 BNSF's leading a NS SD70M.
WLE train sits for a few hours before departing. Note the different numberboards on the leader.
37Q accelerates out of Hagerstown with a sweet ex-CR leader (rare for these parts). Steelers fans, check out the first car!!!
Nice to see a trio of SD60's and 2 exec. coaches.
The three types of locomotives that most often prowl the rails around Hagerstown on CSX- SD50's, GP40-2's and GP38-2's idle alongside each other almost perfectly.
