Northbound pig train has changed crews and is coming off the former Atlanta Divsion through the recently signaled East-West connection for the run on to Pembroke, bypassing the yard.
Rather amazing that this L&N lettering continued to exist years after the merger. The haters somehow missed it.
Two sharp looking "boxcar" EMDs team up with two GEs to lead loaded ballast train W090 out towards East Junction on track three.
Almost the last of the butt heads as far as EMD was concerned. I'm always looking for a good place to photograph them outside of huge yards. Any suggestions?
Though not a really great rebuild the 16s were at least consistent in looks and features. This is an early renumber job with another of the early CSX rainbow units.
I guess I like the oddballs. This unit started out on the Monon and somewhere along the line lost its upper headlight housing. Everything was apparently all right until CSX painters came along.
It's months after the startup of CSX but this unit still retains its C&O number. Here two trains coming from the west are waiting for permission to enter the yard.
Rerouted Crude Oil train.
Another victim of the "hate L&N" faction is ready to be assigned to a train.
