An ex-Conrail slug with the addition of a cab from an Indiana Harbor Belt SW1500 sits forlornly with other ghosts outside the Winchester & Western shops in Gore, Virginia.

It's 7:30 in the morning and the power for the "Sand Man" gets ready for the run to Winchester, Virginia.

The westbound Sand Man runs the main through CSX's Winchester Yard passing CSX power that arrived earlier in the day on CSX train D790 from Brunswick, Maryland.

The Sand Man passes the Clearbrook Feed Mill. This mill is one of two along the W&W Virginia Division.

After setting off the loaded sand cars, the Sand Man ran light to Clearbrook where 19 empty sand hoppers were picked up to be taken back to Gore.
