This one is a year into Seaboard Systemand still unaltered by company barbarians, as most were.

On 12/29/1982 the Seaboard System came into being. This brought some unbesmirched out of towners to the yard in those early days. Here is an all L&N consist.

Cheap gray paint job and a small tank distinguish this unit sitting on the old SAL main.

Bearing a number from a numbering scheme that just never fully materialized this unit appears to have never had a nose herald but it least it's relatively clean.

Spartan but welcome after seeing nothing but SCL black.

Not really L&N, but they forgot the "SBD" on the side.

The first iteration of yellow and gray was a classy looking scheme. The last was, well, not so much. L&N made its parents a lot of money, all of which they wanted for themselves.

A "pure" Family Lines unit. Not really but I keep them separate for some reason. I never have liked sublettering.
