The crew of the Zearing Local is now facing the nemesis of railroading in the winter: a frozen switch. They are now attempting to de-ice the switch using a combination of brute force and heat.

Bluebonnet GP30 2435 and a BN GP15-1 lead a westbound local through Rochelle.
Two recently rebuilt GP38-2's hurry this westbound local across the Juniata River Bridge at Ryde in front of four other hotshot westbounds.
