Train #8 skirts the Mississippi River just north of Savanna, IL. Towering overhead are the bluffs of the Palisades State Park, a favorite place for rock climbers.
With a fresh crew on board, a BNSF stack train heads south out of the yard at Savanna. Within a few hundred feet it will cross over onto main 1 and head east for Chicago.
