Montreal-Toronto westbound freight stopped in Smiths Falls for a crew change.
CP Rail operations in the southwestern and eastern Ontario, Quebec and on the Delaware and Hudson Railway were operated as part of the St.Lawrence and Hudson Railway.

Originally built in July of 1957 as CP 6591, serial number 82177. Unit was retired by CP in 1985. Now it is a museum display piece.
Here are 2 of 4 inspection cars built by Wickham in 1954-1955. There were 4 built, 2 each for CP and CN. Closest is former CP M-297, while in the background is former CN 23.
Orginally built by Montreal Locomotive Works in February of 1912 as CNoR 1112, serial number 50810. Unit also wore number 1112 for CN before being sold to QNSL. Retired in 1961.
