The low tide provides for an interesting shot of the Sounder as it heads towards Everett.

An empty grain train gets lots of attention in Edmonds from all the railfans waiting for the steam locomotives. And there again in my shot, wearing the gray, is Steve De Vight, messing it all up.

The railfans already begin to line up to wait for the double header steam, but for now, we're happily distracted with the Cascades running a few minutes late.

SP 4449 puts on a HELL of show for the 100+ railfans along Sunset Ave in Edmonds. Nothing better than warm weather and double headed steam!

The last Sounder of the evening travels through Edmonds.

This train is hauling some empty garbage containers to the Rabanco facility south of Seattle.

After a MoW crew had the switch at Edmonds for several hours, freight starts moving again.

A classic SD40-2 rolls south though Edmonds. Such a nice day to greet this railfan after so long without trains. I felt spoiled.

The first of two Sounders screams down the main line on one of the first gorgeous days of the year in the Pacific Northwest. I'm glad to be back home and out on the rails!
