A long look at Proctor Yard. DMIR 215 sits for the afternoon. A close look shows brand new ES44s passing Missabe 215.

A land of EMDs - Missabe 215 and 211 work the yard while a number of road sets can be seen on the left waiting to take ore trains north.

I feel very lucky to be able to shoot Missabe maroon in 2012, 8 years after one of the greatest railroads was merged into... well the CN.

The 215 and mate have replaced the slug set as yard goats for Proctor. Here they are shuttling 86 cars around. Nice running into missabefan and kmad on the bridge.

#215 smokes it up as she shows her age. Missabe SD38-2's are unwanted by a large number of engineers nowadays, on the road at least, due to their 2,000 horses as opposed to the IC SD40-3's 3,000. ... (more)
