The Chicago Terminal is pulling 3 loaded gons out of Finkl Steel on the north side of its Kingsbury street running trackage. Afterwards, it will set out 3 empty gons in place of the loads.

Kingsbury Street/Goose Island local job heads back south to Goose Island to pick up several lumber cars.

Their day almost over, the Chicago Terminal Railroad Kingsbury/Goose Island Switch Job is heading back north with several empties.

Traffic jam! The train sat blocking Cortland Street for several minutes while a switch was thrown, and once the train retreated, the vehicular floodgates were opened.

Further down the line the crew works to "throw the switch" to drop off a boxcar for their test run. This, however, is an especially difficult task because the switch levers were removed long ago.... (more)
