Mill 5 bound, the 1201 is blasting up the hill above Goldsborough Creek near the Carman road. Many of the logs were barnacle-coated from being in the seawater for a while.

With its bell clanging, the 1201 approaches a private crossing east bound at Carman Road, passing by apple blossoms in someone's backyard along the tracks.

Late in the afternoon Stick has his train of A-frames backed into the Mill 5 lead and waits for it to be loaded with fresh cut lumber to take back to town. Permission to be on Simpson property.

The gravel and cement trucks will have to wait for the log train to clear the crossing while on its way out of Shelton with waterwood destined for Mill 5, some 8 miles west of here.
