WE 3049 leads an empty coke train west on the NS Chicago Line in the late evening sun. The train will cross over to the CSX Short Line just a short distance ahead.
Two shades of orange are represented in Huron today, one shade is on W&LE locomotives and hoppers, while the other is some rusty orange on a “De Witt” geep.

Most of the recent ORHS excursions have ended at Rook, but this 1998 trip continued east on the P&WV.

A trio of WE SD40-3's roll thru Connellsville with an eastbound grainer!
3049 is on the point of a long string of loaded coke hoppers and mixed freight at Rook. This train will probably become Tuesday's 391 to Mingo.
SD40-2 3049 and two ex-D&RGW GP40's lend a hand to the Wheeling 416. I suspect this power will end up on the Monessen coke train later today.
