A Northbound BNSF stack train passes a baretable stopped on the main at Bealville
I always like to find a different view or angle from popular places. This one I found this past year as a Southbound UP travels through the loop.
A full moon decends on the horizon, about 10 minutes after a westbound train passed.
A westbound BNSF has just exited the loop- from high above on the other side of Hwy 58
BNSF 4540 stops just outside of tunnel #2, as a westbound holds the siding. In the distance a set of helpers works to get a stalled train on the move again.
In the distant an eastbound UP train is seen approaching, while a downpour can be seen falling from a cloud in the red sky during sunset.
UP 5029 comes out of tunnel #2 and winds up the hill through Bealeville, CA.
A crew member stretches as a crew change takes place on the ZBRLC at Bakersfield, CA
UP 4316 poses in front of a full moon at UP's Bakersfield yard.
Sunset at Sandcut
Northbound UP 5700 winds through Marcel along side another train stuck in the hole.
The front end and the rear end power the train up and around Bealeville, CA
UP 5679 grinds down the rails just after sunset at Sandcut, CA
Just after sunset this southbound train races towards the curvy terrain of Tehachapi
In the late afternoon the rear end DPU's bring up the rear end just before clearing tunnel#2
