The EDPO with the 606 "snoot nose" leading, backs down the wye in Ayer to pick up some cars before it proceeds to Portland.

The 23K awaits its departure west, with a foreign visitor in tow. Today one couldn't throw a stone without hitting another railfan in Ayer.

The POSE (Portland - Selkirk) is on it's way into Ayer, during some of the only sunlight of the day before the thunderstorms settle into the area.

The POSE (Portland - Selkirk) enters the wye in Ayer on it's way into the Hill Yard. The second unit on this train brought the railfans out of the woodwork.

The 415 waits for the 422 to clear before it approaches the Ayer station to drop off it's commuters from Boston.

I was finally able to catch the 23K in decent sunlight, after a long Seattle-like stretch of weather in Massachusetts. There was a gentleman behind me who had much the same idea as I did this day.
