Sporting an uncharacteristic six domes, the very final westbound Rio Grande Zephyr approaches the divergence of the Craig branch and the Dotsero cutoff at Bond, Colorado.

It's a lonely existence on this day in Bond, CO for UP 8843.

The eastbound California Zephyr passes the junction with the U.P. Craig branch, which curves up the hill to the right. Amtrak units 129 & 191 with seven cars.

The California Zephyr is between Azure and Radium on the Moffat Route and a very nice winters day.
