A Transco SW-1 (ex-Rock Island) passes displayed CGW FP7 116-A in downtown Oelwein, Iowa.
The old "Great Western" lives on in the Hub City - Oelwein, Iowa. FP7A 116 (painted in 2000, but now badly faded) heads up a display train in front of the old CGW yard office and tower.

Westbound on former Chicago Great Western
Slowly rolling thru the country side with the Wabash F's and Colombia diner train in tow, Pushing some snow in this cut drift.
Switching up their train before departing for Waterloo, The Columbia Diner train is on its way after Months if inspections and planing.
With the photo shoot over with and not likely to come out till they move to Colombia,MO. After there gone the old shops will be razed and more history of the CGW will be gone.
This came to my eye as I was shooting the Wabash F's
