Railfans watch from above the tunnel portal as the Santa Train pulls into Haysi for a stop. The tunnel was constructed in 1921 by the Clinchfield Railroad.
Southbound loads cross the Russell Fork of the Big Sandy River near sunset. This is the north end of the former Clinchfield.
