The climb over Oregon's Coast Range is over as the Toledo Patch rolls through the hamlet of Summit. From here, the rest of the trip eastward to Albany is almost all downhill.
The Toledo Patch passes the Chitwood covered bridge as it rolls eastward to Albany. Just as in Southern Pacific days, the line primarily serves the massive Georgia Pacific pulp mill at Toledo.
Portland & Western 1501 switches cars at the south end of Albany yard. The 69-year old SD7 is one of the oldest locomotives still working regularly in Oregon.
