A cab from an unidentified class 40 sits on the ground in the Melt Shop at Crewe Works while a sister loco behind is in the process of scrapping.

Class 40 no. 40 176, Class 25 no. 25 152 and a Class 76 stand in the snow at Reddish TMD back in December 1981. The locos and the depot are all long since gone.
