The day after Christmas 2017 finds Batten Kill Alco RS-3 #605 resting outside Cargill in the Town of Salem, New York with a fresh snowfall coating the engine.
Daily the line is used for metropolitan trains, but on Sundays it is possible to see the tourist train running to its destination in the railway village of Paranapiacaba.
