A rare sight in Palmer Lake as a southbound manifest rolls off of Main 2 which is usually reserved for northbound movements.

A faded nose herald does nothing to change the fact that it's still cool to see an SD40-2 on the point on a Class I mainline, even if it is leading a one-car local north toward Denver.

The Pikes Peak Local breezes northbound bound for Big Lift with a lone covered hopper. It's always nice to catch an SD40-2 on the Joint Line, even with a giant faded red patch on the long hood!

Late in the day, BNSF 1030 leads a manifest north through Larkspur on Main 2. Noteworthy are the 9 M1 Abrams tanks hitching a ride behind the lead power.

Coal empties twist into Larkspur on their way north for Wyoming. A note for number nerds: both engines end in '00'!
