After setting out, CN/GT train 292 departs Durand Yard as a beautiful midwest sunset heralds the last light of an otherwise cloudy, rainy day.

CN 2581 leads train X374 east past the classic depot at Durand. The rear portion of the train was made up of Canadian military equipment being returned to their home bases.

A long eastbound freight stretches around the curve and out beyond Oak Street and Simplicity Mfg. Whoever designed the jog in the fence to permit photographers this view was a real friend!

During the Nineties, the GTW increasingly took on the appearance of its parent, the Canadian National, as CN power led more and more trains across Michigan.

With its Durand work completed #389 accelerates out of town past the station.

GTW #389 is coming off the Flint Subdivision and going into Durand Yard to make a set-off.
