5357 3077 5363 holds back a westbound freight as they descend the middle leg of Gilluly, on the west side of Soldier Summit, on a dull August day in 1985.

Whilst chasing a westbound coal train up the canyon in September 1985, this eastbounder surprised me as I climbed up over the rise. RG 3071 3153 and SP 7493 7534 and out of sight 7346.

The hard work now done, the eastbound Rio Grande Zephyr begins its run downgrade from Soldier Summit to Helper in October 1981.

On a moody sort of day, with cloud rolling over the Book Cliffs, 3117 and 3098 amble westbound through Woodside, between Green River and Helper, with a potash train off the Moab branch.

Climbing up towards Soldier Summit, a westbound freight behind 5401 and 5355 pass Colton in August 1985, being assisted at the rear by 5398 and 5348.

The Denver-bound Rio Grande Zephyr follows the Price River downgrade through Kyune in October 1981, behind 5771, 5762 and 5763.
