NS 212 "Diverging Clear" in Mt. Airy, GA .

The last remnants of fall color are illuminated by low morning sun as 212 crosses the Raritan.

UP power runs through on a cool, crisp fall morning along Conrail's Lehigh Line.

212 is eastbound through the interlocking at CP Bound Brook with the usual mix of auto racks and intermodal traffic.

I was set-up and expecting NS 44A to make a move North to Toccoa, GA and what a surprise I got when the conductor called out the signal on NS 212 here in Mt. Airy.

Just days earlier, a telegraph line ran along the east side of the tracks here at Ashby. Not in use any more and in the way of the future second main, the telegraph line was removed July 18, 2008.
