An abnormally long AVR 3 returns to Glenwood with a sizeable cut of "dirty dirt" cars from Washington, PA.

A second section of 21T rolls northbound into the Pittsburgh city limits. This train was also photographed by Bman in some sweet evening light at Glenfield.

It was mid-May when this photo was taken and 359 was the first CSX train that I shot in 2009.

I almost gave up on following this train at Longview, but I'm glad I continued east as this was the last ore train I was able to shoot on the W&LE in 2009.

I'm not sure what the odds are of seeing four Rio Grande units in the same place in 2009, but it probably doesn't happen very often! (The fourth unit is #302, barely visible at far left).

The headend power was nothing special, but the mid-train helper set definitely was!

This train was one of the most-photographed that I've ever seen on the W&LE. About nine of us shot him at Speers, and some of that group also got him here, just west of my vantage point.
