Between Mojave and Tehachapi, a northbound BNSF manifest charges upgrade through Cameron on the UP Mojave Sub while thunderheads build in the distance.

Just after sunrise, a southbound Union Pacific manifest with three brand new ES45AH "Heavies" up front screams through Cameron and on toward Mojave after having crossed the Tehachapi mountains.

An eastbound mixed manifest lead by some Warbonnets leaves Tunnel 10 as it climbs to the top of Tehachapi Pass.

Twilight engulfs the evening sky as BNSF 7002 leads the Stockton, CA to Willow Springs, IL high priority "Z" train through Sandcut.

Eastbound BNSF Stacks and TOFC load, wind through the Caliente Narrows towards the Caliente horseshoe curve and the start of the 2% grade to the top of the pass.

Eastbound BNSF 4901 leads a trio of Warbonnets through the Tehachapi loop uphill to the top of Tehachapi pass.

Eastbound Southern Pacific #8136 rounds the curves of Bealville as it climbs to the top of Tehachapi Pass.

UP's Lathrop to Los Angeles Z nears Tunnel 2 at Bealville as monsoon thunder clouds build over the near by mountain ranges.
