A UP southbound manifest passes through South Serrano on Cuesta Grade. It will add two more bad order helper engines to its consist once it reaches SLO.

Amtrak 11 works its way around several curves as it approaches the east entrance of Tunnel 10. Tunnel 10 was routed around, and has since had numerous cave ins.

After picking up a string of auto racks and a helper engine to take south this UP manifest passes through the vineyards in the Edna Valley, south of San Luis Obispo.

A Union Pacific southbound manifest negotiates some of the curves on Cuesta Grade as it makes its way towards Chorro. The cows grazing on the hills don't even seem to notice the train.
