CP Train 486 backs onto its train after making a pick-up at North La Crosse. The not-so-friendly engineer vested me as they pulled east out of the yard.
10 mph is all this train is doing on the trip through the Stockton Valley. Hopefully some day soon the CP will spend some money and upgrade this stretch of railroad to increase the speed.

Today's NTWGAL included more than the usual assortment of GEs..... the BNSF 1718 (SD9) and BNSF 3547 (SW1200) were along for the ride. The BNSF 3547 was fifth from the rear on the train.

The D&RGW Ski Train heads east on the BNSF at East Dubuque. In 13 miles the train will get back on CN rails at Portage for the trip to Hawthorne.
