Both of the two remaining DM&IR-painted units operating on home rails where leading ore trains this morning on the Iron Range Subdivision. How often do you see an illuminated class light?
The increased activity in Proctor has been a pleasure to see. Here SD38-2 leads its' consist to their assignment, as an SD70ACe brings its' train in.
The dispatcher refers to this SD38 as "DMIR 215", so I take it the Missabe still holds on (for a while). It was a great stay in the Twin Ports for me and chasing Missabe 215 was a highlight.
The only remaining SD38 in maroon and gold heads to Fairlane.

U-715 speeds south at track speed through Sax, MN with maroon DMIR 215 leading. The clouds would increase as the train continued south, leaving the bright blue skies seen here behind.
