Coming down the 1% grade from U.S. Minntac's taconite plant, DMIR 403 glides under the Highway 169 bridge as the run to Two Harbors now begins in earnest.

A train of taconite pellets behind DMIR 403 rolls through the yard at track speed while CN track crews and contractors stand in the clear waiting to start their project after they clear.

Maroon and gold 403 was quite busy this weekend, heading up several trains.

CN heritage unit, DMIR 403, pulling 130 cars of taconite pellets down the CN Iron Range Sub at Biwabik while a track crew and CN personnel mingle by the old DMIR engine house and shop.

Rounding the curve onto the CN Iron Range Sub for the 74 mile trip to a yard track at Two Harbors, DMIR 403 looks good pulling these 130 cars of taconite pellets.
