The "class" FEC GEVO leads an LNG fuel tender and GECX 3000 across the New River bridge in Fort Lauderdale's Riverwalk district on a beautiful spring morning in south Florida.

FEC 800 leads 3000 without a tender on 101. Today was announced that Grupo Mexico would be buying the FEC.

One of the daily extras due to the curfews down south making things "almost like the old days". Prior to 2009 202 would show up near this time. These days, it's pretty rare.

FEC 226 brought a surprise, the LNG set which is still undergoing testing. Another LNG set is on the way bracketed by 801 & 802.

Reflections of the future? Maybe if all goes well with LNG tests. 226 was a bit late allowing me to get a shot I wanted.

The LNG set has been making the trip to Miami and back Mon / Tue and Thu / Fri via 121 - 226 of late. However this is the first time it went without GEX 3000 making for a matched set.

LNG! FEC continues to test LNG fuel with now another set on the way with 801-802 being converted to join the 800 in LNG service. Testing is being done on 121 / 226 every few days.
