Racing east from Rotterdam NY just after sunrise, the leader on today's RJED is the only active unit wearing the "original" Pan Am paint scheme.

Northbound New England Central train 611 races towards Brattleboro VT and catches the only sun of the evening just before sunset, with power from all over the place!

Westbound Pan Am Southern train AYMO passes the Erving paper mill at Erving MA, and curves around the remnants of the Erving middle track. Erving Paper has not used rail since the 70's.

Track speed is 40mph here, and the 611 crew was doing every bit of it. They are racing north about 20 minutes out of Brattleboro VT, tring to beat the clock and the storms before canning.

A westbound auto rack train shoots into Fonda NY with a nice standard cab SD60 leader, as clouds thicken overhead.

Eastbound ED495 has just finished droping a cut of cars for the P&W at Gardner MA, and is departing east.

Westbound Pan Am Southern intermodal AYMO rounds the curve into Millers Falls MA, where the main line briefly parallels the New England Central main seen at the bottom left.

The northbound 611 turn job crosses the Millers River on short time, as a huge storm blows by to the east.
