Two trains about 3 minutes apart.....KBS' Lafayette turn is about 1/4th of a mile from the end of his day....

Shortline heaven....the Toledo Peoria and Western crosses KBS' main to Lafayette at Sheldon....

The cliche small town....grain elevators....dirt roads....and jointed rail.....

At one time the KBS was an all Alco railroad but nowadays they rely one rebuilt CNW GP40s.....a train from Lafayette has just finished making his setout at Oxford, IN as he continues towards Iriqo... (more)

I dont know of any other place in the US that multiple semaphores mingle with modern tri-color signals.....after 8:30 PM on July 6th there was no such place.....

Offically the only place on Metra's system where you can get an F40PH pasing semaphores....
