A trio of ARR's first-purchase SD70MACs leads a small freight toward Seward where there's a much larger freight fresh off the barge waiting to be hauled back north to Anchorage.

An extra Anchorage to Whittier train was southbound near Girdwood

Alaska Railroad at the time un named Anchorage to Seward passenger train was southbound along Cook Inlet near Turnagain. Fourteen hours later I would photograph it's return in similar sunlite.

Alaska RR northbound Seward to Healy empty coal train was near Indian along the Cook Inlet with some freight included ahead of the empty coal cars.
