MLW class M4s at Galle loco shed. 750, named Isurumuni, is turned on the turntable while 748, Walawe, rests in the shed. Both locos were built in Montreal in 1975.
EMD Class M2d No 628 arrives at Galle with the 1015 Matara to Colombo Fort. Most of the M2 class were built several years earlier in Canada, while 628 and 629 were built in the USA in 1966.
In 2013 there can`t be many places in the world with so many semaphore signals visible in one view. The locos visible are Brush M7 No 800 (left) and Hitachi M5 No 778.
